Equality and Inclusion

Schools projectThe London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games were won with a bid promising to promote accessibility and inclusion. Put simply, the Games promised to deliver new opportunities for some of the poorest and socially excluded neighbourhoods in the capital. Our revised Equality and Inclusion policy sets out how we intend to make this a reality.

For the people of east London we now have a once in a lifetime chance to create a place which embeds that positive Olympic and Paralympic heritage and promotes equality and inclusion over the longer term. The London Legacy Development Corporation’s task is to ensure that the future communities and neighbours of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park come to live in a vibrant new area which embeds the best principles of accessibility and inclusion.
